Getting back to life

It has been so long. I am incredibly busy right now, and just don't have blogging in my routine. Plus, I have some sort of illness or something. I couldn't sleep for two nights and then last night was up all night with nausea. I mean, I felt like if I could just go to sleep then I would feel so much better (like the nausea you get when you are exhausted) but feeling so sick kept me awake. I slept in until 9:30 or so and then napped from 10:45 to 12:45. I am feeling a little better now, just sort of weak.

Anyway, I wanted to post a couple of photos from our Disney World trip! We had so much fun. It really was everything I hoped it would be. Time with my mom and my brother's fam was so great.
BoyD had a blast and is still asking to go back to ride Pirates of the Caribbean, and the space ranger ride. He even got to meet Buz Lightyear!

There's me and BabyM. She had her paci all day every day b/c she had to sleep in the stroller. We had to break that habit when we got home! In Animal Kingdom there is an "It's a Bug's Life" 3-D show. WAY to scary for the kiddos. BoyD had a nightmare about it that night. Those were the "bug eyes" that you needed to see the 3D. Then you see BoyD driving the Jungle cruise! He was so excited.

BabyM slept like this a lot. Poor thing. We wore those kids out. Then of course we saw the Big Man (or Big Mouse) himself!

Our hotel had a beach and the kids loved playing in the sand. This photo was taken just after our luau. We could watch the fireworks at the Magic Kingdom every night from our hotel room or from the beach. Even BabyM got to play in the sand. Then, BoyD got to meet one of his heroes! It was a surprise and we didn't even have to wait in line for more than 5 minutes!

This is my mom and me in front of Cinderella's castle. Disney is really just as fun for the grown ups! Then, we could hang out with the Pooh characters in Downtown Disney. There were very cooperative for the photo! :) Also at Downtown Disney (and at Magic Kingdom as well) there are these areas where there are fountains that come up out of the ground, and we were prepared with swim suits.

On to other things:
We will know about BabyM's weight when I take her in for a flu booster shot on the 6th of April. She isn't eating hardly at all, but she doesn't have diarrhea anymore, so we are hoping that whatever calories she is consuming are sticking. I can tell from her clothes that she is at least taller!

I took this last week "off" in the sense that I didn't homeschool or workout, but I needed the time to rest up. Now I have to get back to work. Seminary is becoming very demanding right now.

A quick preview of possible ministry opportunities in the future: I was asked to "preach" at a women's meeting with the wives of the CAM pastors in the area. I really want to do that. I also have some ideas of a prayer ministry within the churches where are family (along with members of the churches) go to visit those members of the body that are sick and pray for them. Also, I have the idea of some kind of a food pantry ministry where the church members give and then church members in need can get a ration of some kind. Please pray for those opportunities with me as I seek the Lord's will. I obviously don't have time to do all of these things all by myself, so the Lord would have to raise people up for the work.

Tonight we will be watching American Idol (2 weeks behind you so please don't spoil anything!) and eating PB, banana, strawberry, and chocolate chip grilled sandwiches in front of the TV. Yeah!

I have missed being on blogger and I hope to get caught up a bit here pretty soon.

Looks like you guys had so much fun in Disney World! I can't wait to take Hannah there. That's where we spent our honeymoon. I'm so glad you posted. It was fun reading about you guys.
I'm looking forward to BabyM's health update - praying for her! And I hope you feel better! It sounds just like what I had one time...felt nauseated, couldn't sleep, was exhausted all the time, then 9 months later, had a baby. =)

It was great to read an update from you! It sounds like you have some great ideas for ministry at your church. I will be praying for you as you prepare to "preach" to the pastor's wives. What an opportunity! I went to a womens retreat last weekend and learned about Women mentoring Women - wouldnt that be a cool thing to implement in Guatemala?!?
Praying for you guys!!!!

He-He...at least right now...I am FOR SURE not preggo.

And Sarah, you just need to come to Xela and share the wealth! I would love to hear about all of that. And the work that we are thinking about would not be within our church, but within the CAM churches that are pastored by the pastors that Brandon works with.
